This week we visit Texas in the United States to chat with Elizabeth Rentz who is a speaker, strategic life coach and author. She turns 70 this year and started her business at the age of 68.
Can you tell me a little bit about your business and what you do?
I am a speaker, life strategy coach and author. My book is called Reinvent: Rediscover Your Passion, Refuel Your Purpose, Reset Your Life
My company is Break Through Your Way™ where my mission is to help individuals and organisations relieve stress by facilitating practical and effective solutions for the understanding behind the stress.
My signature workshop is called Stepping Stones: Finding the Greatness within You, every time is a two and a half day hands-on workshop.

What motivates you to keep working after 60?
Passion! Life is a journey and a process that is all about movement and change and you are in charge, when you reach the final destination you die! You may be alive, but you are stagnant inside. Everything in life comes from movement and its up to you the direction you take. Finding your greatness is a choice to explore strange new worlds, seek out new life and new civilisation and boldly go where no man has before, Can you tell I’m a Star Trek fan?
What do you like most about having your own business?
Freedom, creativity, meeting new people, learning new skills mostly I’m in charge of my life, I’m responsible and I can make my own rules
What have been some of the struggles you have faced with running your own business?
Lead generation, advertising, social media, money, time and energy
What are some of the most important lessons you have learnt in life?
Procrastination kills innovation
Happiness is a head trip that I’m in charge of
If you have an idea and don’t take action its not worth the thought
Failure is an illusion and not an excuse to give up
The fastest way to create wealth is to create success stories
What advice would you give to the younger generation?
To thyself be true
Always be your best

If you could jump into a time machine what era would you visit and why?
I’ve always wanted to travel in space, so I would take it to the time where this is an everyday occurrence.
Why? I guess I’m just a Star Trek fan forever.
