Meet Michael he is a coach for entrepreneurs

It all started with a goal to chat to entrepreneurs over 60. Then out of curiosity we decided to talk to entrepreneurs under 30. We believe these two very vast generations can learn and grow from each other. 

This week we visit Liverpool in the UK and chat with Michael McDonnell who is a high performance mindset coach for entrepreneurs.

Can you tell us a little about your business and what you do?

I’m a high performance mindset coach for entrepreneurs.

What motivated you to start your own business?

Helping people is why I think I was put here on this planet. It lights me to when I see others succeed.

What were some of the struggles you faced when you first started?

I was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis and diabetes so I had to deal with the physical and mental struggles of my conditions along with the mental struggle of being an entrepreneur.

What are some of the most important lessons you have learnt in life?

To be persistent after failure, to go after what you want and to be determined to do whatever you need to do to get there. Learn what you need to learn, do what you need to do and be who you need to be in order to get there; and you will get there eventually.

What do you like most about having your own business?

The freedom to do what I want, the ability to make my own decisions alongside the chance to help people and contribute to the lives of others.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Keep going and take every opportunity that comes your way.

Who is an older person that you admire and why?

 Tony Robbins as his books was what got me into self-development.

If you could jump into a time machine what era would you visit and why?

1940s to meet Albert Einstein.
